Beau Willimon

Beau Willimon's play Farragut North premiered at Alantic Theater Company (New York) in 2008 and was nominated for two Outer Critics Circle Awards (Best New Play, John Gassner Award). His most recent play, Spirit Control premiered at the ManhattanTheatre Club (New York) in 2010. Willimon is a recipient of the Lila Acheson Wallace Juilliard Playwriting Fellowship, two-time winner of the Lincoln Center Le Comte du Nouy Award, and was a 2008 Playwright-in-Residence at the Donmar Warehouse in London. A resident of Brooklyn, NY, Willimon holds a BA from Columbia University and an MFA in playwriting from Columbia University’s School of the Arts. In 2012 he was nominated for the Academy Award and a BAFTA for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Ides of March.
