Sales Executive

Oberon Books is the UK’s leading independent performing arts publisher. We are now seeking a Sales Executive to join our busy, dynamic team.

Key duties of this role include:

  • Negotiating and executing sales of programme texts to theatres, and ensuring timely payments.
  • Managing of in-house trade and specialist accounts.
  • Attendance at relevant actors’ and drama students’ events and meetings, as well as author signings. Providing stock for sale.
  • Identifying new sales opportunities, inside and outside the book trade.
  • Providing accurate and timely title data to our overseas distributors, specifically inputting this data into their systems.
  • Regular liaison with our external UK sales team, including provision of title data.

The ideal candidate will already have some sales experience, either in retail or at a publisher, and be a good relationship builder.  Knowledge of Excel and title management systems and databases is desirable, but more important is a willingness to learn. An interest in theatre and the performing arts is also highly desirable.
